As a Metallica listener since 1987, its hard not to get ones hopes. Since the Black album,it was bought out of loyalty but that was the last time I did that.
They can go in any musical direction they want, its their band, but I don’t have to support them just because the first 4 albums were killer.

So “The Day That Never Comes” sucked for 5 minutes and was pretty good for the last 2. This one kicked ass for all 5. So Metallica has made 2 good minutes of music this decade. Keep it up and 2500 will be a good year for them!
