Royce Da 5’9 Teams With DJ Premier For New Album

Royce Da 5’9 has signed a new deal with One Records to release his upcoming album "Street Hop" through his M.I.C. imprint.

"Street Hop" will be executive produced by DJ Premier and is expected for release in the first quarter of 2009.

"This album will definitely show the world why I’m the one to watch right now. I’m happy about my new partnership between M.I.C and One Records, because it’s time to ignite the streets," Royce says. "I’m ready to show all these other rappers just how wack they really are."

The album will also feature production from Nottz, Green Lantern, Emile, Kay Gee, Ski and Carlos Broady as well as guest appearances from Bun B, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, and Crooked I.

The first single from the album will be the DJ Premier produced "Shake This" and is expected to hit radio later this month.

Royce is set to embark on a tour with D12 and Joe Budden on November 12 to promote his recently released "Bar Exam 2" mixtape as well as perform tracks from "Street Hop."
